Fighting for Justice After a Nursing Home Fall

My dad was in our residential nursing facility and they classified him as a fall risk, but still it didn’t pay enough attention to him while he was there and it led to him falling and breaking his head. They told me my father had a form and they needed to send him to the emergency room right away. When I asked them what happened, they couldn’t tell me what’s going on. When I went back to the facility to see what happened and speak to some of the nurses, I realized that they did not lower the bed. They also didn’t put down a crash pad.

Even though I know there’s some department I can call to file, um, complaint, no one answered my call, no one replied to my email at all I feel so helpless. I was disappointed and needed to find someone to remedy the situation. I found Lanzone Morgan. I spoke to the intake coordinator Emily and she was very nice. And she set up an appointment with Jim Morgan. He was great. He really explained things in depth. I can’t believe it. It’s so amazing, because no one else can help me except Lanzone Morgan.

They took the case seriously and they are so thoughtful for in every aspect. They fought hard for me. Jim and his team were amazing.They got us a good settlement quickly and now I feel much better about the situation. My dad is still in a nursing home. But at least he’s able to enjoy the rest of his time. We feel we got justice from my dad and we are totally relieved now. I felt very good because the award was greater than I thought it would be. It allowed my mother to stay in a private room and assisted living for the rest of her life.
