Case Story: A Client Impacted by Sepsis

So a case I handled recently that went to arbitration, and it dealt with a client who suffered from a pressure injury and turned septic because of it. And that case ended up- settling for seven figures. And we only had a couple days of testimony. We went through two witnesses, one being our client. I think after the Defense Council heard our client’s testimony and the harrowing experience she endured at that skilled nursing facility, really pushed them to settle the case and allowed us to get a seven-figure settlement for our client and that was really satisfying.
